Privacy Policy

Effective Date: 1 January 2025  ·  Last Updated: 12 May 2026  ·  Compliant with IT Act 2000 & SPDI Rules 2011

Taskivity ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your personal information with the same care and discipline expected from a premium SaaS platform. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and the choices available to you under applicable Indian law — including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011.

1. Who We Are

3. Sensitive Personal Data or Information (SPDI)

Under the SPDI Rules 2011, passwords are classified as sensitive personal information. We store passwords using industry-standard one-way hashing — your password is never stored in plain text and cannot be retrieved by us.

4. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide, operate, maintain, and improve Taskivity.
  • To authenticate users, secure workspace access, and maintain session integrity.
  • To enable task assignment, approvals, reporting, reminders, and workspace collaboration features.
  • To detect suspicious activity, prevent misuse, and support fraud prevention controls.
  • To activate subscriptions, verify plan entitlements, and reconcile payment events.
  • To respond to support, billing, privacy, and deletion requests.
  • To comply with legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations.

Taskivity does not sell personal data and does not use workspace information for advertising purposes.

5. Microphone & Voice Input

If you use Taskivity's optional voice input feature while creating tasks, remarks, or announcements, microphone access is used only to process speech into text for the action you requested. Taskivity does not permanently store raw audio recordings on its own servers as part of the standard voice-input flow. Depending on your browser or device, speech recognition may be processed by the browser, operating system, or their integrated speech services.

6. Cookies & Local Storage

  • Session cookie: Used to maintain your login. Expires after 2 hours of inactivity. Security flags are set to reduce misuse.
  • LocalStorage: Stores UI preferences such as font size, offline action queue, and draft task data. This data remains on your device unless you clear it.
  • We do not use advertising cookies or third-party behavioural tracking cookies.

7. Data Sharing and Third-Party Services

We do not sell or rent user information. Limited data may be processed by trusted service providers only where necessary to operate the platform, secure accounts, or complete subscription-related actions.

  • Razorpay — payment processing and transaction verification. Taskivity stores limited transaction metadata and does not store card numbers, bank account credentials, or sensitive financial instrument data. Razorpay is governed by Razorpay's Privacy Policy.
  • Our hosting and infrastructure providers — secure delivery of the website, application, database, and logs required to keep the service available and protected.
  • Law enforcement or regulators — only where required under valid legal process or applicable Indian law.
  • Google Fonts API — fonts used in the Taskivity interface are loaded from Google's font service. This causes your IP address and browser information to be transmitted to Google when pages load. Google's use of this data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. No personally identifiable workspace data is shared with Google through this service.

Taskivity does not permit third parties to use workspace data for independent marketing or profiling.

8. Workspace Visibility & Data Access

Workspace administrators control access to members, task visibility inside their workspace, and the use of invite links. Taskivity personnel do not access workspace content except where reasonably necessary for technical maintenance, security review, account recovery, abuse prevention, or support requested by you.

9. Data Retention

Data TypeRetention Period

When a deletion request is approved, associated personal and workspace data is removed from active systems within a reasonable administrative processing period, except where limited retention is required for security, fraud prevention, dispute handling, financial reconciliation, or statutory compliance.

10. Data Security

We implement reasonable security practices as required under the SPDI Rules 2011, including:

  • Passwords stored using industry-standard one-way hashing (never reversible)
  • Data encrypted in transit over HTTPS on the live server
  • Security tokens on forms to prevent unauthorised submissions
  • Login attempt throttling and session expiry after inactivity
  • Server-side logging and device or session verification controls for abuse detection and account protection

No system is perfectly secure. If a material incident affects your personal information, we will take appropriate response measures and notify affected users where required by applicable law.

11. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data held by us.
  • Correct inaccurate data via Settings or by contacting support.
  • Delete your account and associated data through the in-app settings route or the public deletion page at taskivity.app/delete-account.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, subject to the practical limits of providing the service.
  • Raise a grievance with our Grievance Officer (see Section 14).

12. Installed App Experience

The installed version of Taskivity provides access to workspace productivity features and the same privacy protections described in this policy. Billing actions may be limited or unavailable inside certain installed-app contexts, but your privacy rights, deletion options, and support channels remain the same across the web and installed experiences.

13. Children's Privacy

Taskivity is not directed at persons under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, contact us immediately.

14. Grievance Officer
